At Missouri, Stewart won more games in 32 seasons (634) than had been won at the school from 1907-67 (630)
Coached 9 All-American players and 27 1st-team all conference players
Named District Coach of the Year seven times, Big 8 Coach of the Year five times and was the AP national Coach of the Year in 1984
Upon retirement, had coached or played in more than half of the men's basketball games at Missouri
In 2001, the floor in Missouri's Hearnes Center was named "Norm Stewart Court" in his honor
